Belarusian judo wrestlers fail to advance to medal rounds in Minsk

MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) - Belarusian judo wrestlers failed to advance to medal rounds of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

On the second competition day Belarusian Vadzim Shoka (73kg) had the first bout against Belgian Abdul-Malik Umayev and defeated the opponent by the clean throw. He lost the second bout to Kosovo's Akil Gjakova.

Belarusian Viktoryia Novikava (70kg) and Zhanna Asipovich (70kg) lost their matches in the first round.

The judo tournament in Chizhovka Arena includes 15 medal events. The judo tournament will end on 25 June.
