Belarus’ youth volleyball teams admitted to international competitions

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) took the decision to allow Belarusian youth teams to compete in tournaments under its auspices, BelTA learned from the FIVB press service.

The FIVB decision aligns with the latest recommendation from the IOC Executive Board, which states that young athletes with Belarusian and Russian passports should no longer face restrictions in accessing international competitions in both individual and team sports.

Following the IOC’s recommendation, Belarus will be subject to standard FIVB protocols, which allow the display of flags, anthems, and other national symbols. At the same time, the FIVB Board’s suspension of the Belarusian senior team remains in effect.
