Belarus win six medals on first day of European sambo championships in Serbia
MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) - Belarusian sambo wrestlers earned six medals on the first day of the European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Sport and Tourism Ministry.
The Belarusian team won 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. Silver medalists are Anzhela Zhylinskaya (72kg), Valeryia Khrushchova (+80kg) and Yauheni Rebikau (58kg). Bronze medalists are Anfisa Kapayeva (50kg), Tatsiana Matsko (59kg) and Barys Bulyha (+98kg).
The European Sambo Championships and the European Youth and Junior Sambo Championships will be held in the Serbian city of Novi Sad from May 9 to 12. Fourteen medal events were held on the first day of the tournament.
