Belarus win four medals at Open Commonwealth Sailing Cup 2026 in Sochi

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - Belarus won four medals at the first leg of the Open Commonwealth Sailing Cup 2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports Ministry.

The event, featuring the best sailors from Belarus and Russia, took place in the waters of the Black Sea in Sochi. Team Belarus’ haul includes one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. Tatyana Drozdovskaya claimed victory in the Laser Radial class, while Yana Obukhova rounded out the top three. Ivan Chichin took second place in the IQFoil class, and the crew of Savely Morozov and Darya Levko finished third in the 470 class. Belarus’ Maksim Dyagel (Laser class) came just one step short of the podium.
