Belarus to compete in 2025 EKF Senior Karate Championships in Armenia
MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes will compete in the 2025 EKF Senior Karate Championships in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, BelTA has learned.
Belarus will field ten athletes: Veranika Baravik (kata), Maryia Azarava (-61kg), Volha Ramaniuk (-68kg), Maksim Bareika (kata), David Nhuyen (-75kg), Hleb Sachkouski (-84kg), Ivan Kudzinau (+84kg), Ulyana Markava (-50kg), Maksim Kashyrski (-60kg), and Oleg Melyokhin (-67kg). Medal bouts are scheduled for 10 and 11 May.
The 60th edition of the 2025 EKF Senior Championships will serve as a rehearsal for the 2025 World Karate Championships due to take place in Egypt in November. All medalists of the Armenian event will qualify for the world championships. The 2025 EKF Senior Karate Championships brings together 560 athletes from 48 countries to compete in 16 medal events.
