Belarus names squad for FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Finland

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus has named its team for the start of the 2019-2020 FIS Cross-Country World Cup season in Ruka, Finland on 29 November-1 December, BelTA has learned.

Competing for Belarus will be Anastasia Kirillova, Polina Seronosova, Aleksandr Voronov and Mikhail Semenov.

Anastasia Kirillova won two gold medals at the 2019 Skiing FIS Eastern Europe Cup opener and silver in the Women's 10km Freestyle at the FIS event in Saariselka, Finland. Polina Seronosova finished third in the Women's 5km Individual at the FIS Khibinskaya Race in Kirovsk, Russia. Mikhail Semenov clinched gold and bronze at the same event in Russia. Aleksandr Voronov took silver at the FIS event in Saariselka, Finland.

In Ruka, women will compete in Sprint, 10km C, 10km F Pursuit, while men will compete in Sprint, 15km C, and 15km F Pursuit.
