Belarus miss out on AMF Futsal World Cup semifinal

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – Belarus failed to reach the semifinal of the 2015 AMF Futsal Men's World Cup losing to Paraguay 0-4 in a quarterfinal action at Minsk's Palace of Sports on 22 April, BelTA informs.

Paraguay suppressed Belarus' offense and scored twice in each half to upset Belarus in the quarterfinal of the world's sport forum for the fourth time. At the previous tournament Belarus fell to Paraguay 2-3.

Thus, in the 2015 AMF Futsal World Cup semifinal Paraguay will face Argentina that needed extra time to see off the Czech Republic 3-2. Belgium and Columbia will make up the second semifinal pair. Columbia beat Russia 5-3, while Belgium edged Uruguay 5-4 in overtime.

The semifinal games will be held at Minsk Arena on 24 April. Medal events are scheduled for 25 April.
