MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Maksim Varabei of Belarus finished 11th in the Men 10km Sprint at IBU Cup 8 in Raubichi, 49.3 seconds behind the winner, BelTA has learned.
Sivert Guttorm Bakken of Norway clocked the best time of 25:49.2. Second was Norway's Lars Helge Birkeland, 21.3 seconds back. Emilien Claude of France was third, 25.8 seconds back.
Viktar Kryuko of Belarus came in 15th. Yahor Kazarynau crossed the finish line 50th.
Adelina Sabitava of Belarus placed 27th in the Women's 7.5km Sprint. The event was won by Ingela Andersson of Sweden.
Mass starts (11.00 – women, 13.30 – men) will close the program on 6 March.
Competing at the IBU Cup 8 in Raubichi are 151 athletes from 31 countries.
