Belarus’ Daniil Zaiko clinches European weightlifting champion title

MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – Daniil Zaiko of Belarus won the Men 71Kg U15 event at the 2025 European Youth & U15 Weightlifting Championships in Madrid, Spain, BelTA has learned.

Daniil Zaiko lifted 238kg total (107kg snatch, 131kg clean & jerk) to win gold. Azerbaijan’s Latif Aliyev pushed him all the way with 237kg (108kg snatch, 129kg clean & jerk), just one kilo behind. Georgia’s Otar Bzikadze claimed bronze with 236kg (106kg snatch, 130kg clean & jerk).

Belarus’ Hleb Pauliukevich placed fourth in the Men 71kg Youth event.
