Belarus claim nine medals at rhythmic gymnastics Cup of Strongest in Kazan

MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – The first stage of the Cup of the Strongest in rhythmic gymnastics has concluded in Kazan, with Belarusian gymnasts winning nine medals, the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association told BelTA.

The medalists of the international tournament were Nicole Liauta among seniors and Vera Konopatskaya among juniors. Nicole Liauta won silver in the hoop routine and also finished third in the finals with ball and clubs. Earlier, she claimed bronze in the all-around. Vera Konopatskaya finished third in the most prestigious event of the program and added four bronze medals in individual routines.

Belarusian gymnasts Alina Rechkina, Hanna Kamenshchykava and Anastasiya Ilyenka also competed in the finals. Alongside the Belarusian athletes, gymnasts from Russia, Armenia, Argentina and Kazakhstan took part in the Kazan stage.
