Russia’s Aeroflot resumes Moscow-Minsk flights

MOSCOW, 29 July (BelTA) - Russia’s Aeroflot airline has resumed its Moscow-Minsk-Moscow flight operations, which were suspended on the morning of 28 July due to a major technical failure in the carrier's systems, BelTA reports with reference to the online flight timetable at Sheremetyevo Airport.

Specifically, check-in for flight SU1836 from Sheremetyevo to Minsk has been completed, and an Aeroflot aircraft is preparing for its scheduled departure at 15:00. Aeroflot is set to operate the flights between Minsk and Moscow on 29 and 30 July as planned, with check-in already open for the nearest departures.

The large-scale system failure occurred on the morning of 28 July and resulted in the cancellation of dozens of flights, including seven round-trip flights between Moscow and Minsk. According to the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, the disruption was caused by a cyberattack.
