Labor minister: Belarus creates comfortable and safe working conditions
MINSK, 1 May (BelTA) – We are creating comfortable and safe working conditions, Belarusian Labor and Social Protection Minister Andrei Lobovich told journalists during the celebrations in Minsk’s Victory Park on 1 May, BelTA has learned.
“Working people are the backbone of the economy. The Labor Ministry works alongside trade unions and the Employers’ Confederation to provide safe and comfortable conditions, decent salaries, and new employment opportunities for the workforce,” Andrei Lobovich noted. “We are working on amendments to the Labor Code and the Law on Occupational Safety. The innovations we are discussing with the Federation of Trade Unions will be reflected in these draft laws.”
The minister stressed that the amendments are aimed at promoting productive labor and protecting workers’ rights. “We are not standing still. Business is demanding new forms of employment, and we are ready to evolve in this area. This includes streamlining existing hiring procedures. Ultimately, everything we do is aimed at developing and improving the labor relations system for the benefit of our workers and labor collectives,” he added.
