Joint command post exercise of Armed Forces begins in Belarus

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – A joint command post exercise is scheduled to take place on 24-26 March under the supervision of Deputy Defense Minister for Armament, Chief of Armament of the Armed Forces Andrei Fedin, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The purpose of the exercise is to improve the training of personnel from technical support management bodies in the course of accomplishing crisis response tasks during periods of escalating military threats.
Participants include the Armament Headquarters and the technical support offices of the Defense Ministry and the Armed Forces, the armament offices of the Air Force and Air Defense Command, of the Northwestern Operational Command, of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces as well as a number of arsenals and missile and artillery bases, specialists from the Armed Forces Research Institute, and the Military-Technical Faculty of Belarusian National Technical University.
The exercise is intended to enhance the readiness of the functional groups within the command centers to conduct high-quality planning of technical support and to reinforce the practical skills of command personnel in military units in making rapid decisions.
