FM attends lecture series launch at Belarusian State University
MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov attended the launch of the
Diplomat lecture series at the Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University in Minsk on 17 March, BelTA has learned.
This project involves discussing the current priorities of the Belarusian ministry's activities as part of the monthly student meetings with MFA staff.
Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that about 100 employees of the Belarusian MFA are graduates of the Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University. He told students about the main topics and areas for discussion at the lecture series, which will be held in an interactive format. These include the economic component of the country’s foreign policy.
“The development of the state is first and foremost determined by the stability of the economy. Our economy is open. Most of the goods we produce are supplied abroad. It is important to build a very clear and beneficial paradigm of trade and economic relations with the international community,” the minister said.
“Therefore, the ministry's specialists who deal with economic diplomacy will be your most frequent guests,” he emphasized.
