First military diplomat from Mozambique accredited in Belarus

MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) - A military diplomat from Mozambique has been accredited in Belarus for the first time, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

During a meeting between Colonel Yuri Kharin, First Deputy Head of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Defense Ministry, and Colonel Pedro Tiago Kauwa, Defense Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in the Russian Federation and concurrently in the Republic of Belarus, working contacts were established and prospects for cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries were discussed.

The meeting also allowed Minsk and Maputo to compare their positions on the most pressing international security issues.
