CSTO, UN discuss cooperation against terrorism

MOSCOW, 18 October (BelTA) – Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas, who is on a visit to Tajikistan, met with Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov in Dushanbe on 18 October, BelTA learned from CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.

“Stanislav Zas and Vladimir Voronkov discussed the situation in the CSTO area, the situation in Afghanistan and interaction in the fight against terrorism between the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism and the CSTO Secretariat,” the spokesman said.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of a high-level conference "International and regional border security and management cooperation to counter terrorism and prevent the movement of terrorists".
