MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Due to the closure of airspace in several Middle Eastern countries, Belavia has to adjust its flight schedule, BelTA has learned.

In the wake of the ongoing developments in the Middle East, flight B2718 Dubai-Minsk, originally scheduled to depart the UAE on 28 February, was rescheduled for 8:00 on 1 March. “However, due to ongoing flight restrictions in UAE airspace, the flight’s departure has been delayed. Passengers have been accommodated in hotels, and airline representatives are in contact with them,” Belavia reported.

On the morning of 28 February, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran, striking major Iranian cities, including Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a large-scale retaliatory operation. Attacks were reported in Israel, as well as on US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. Countries in the region are closing their airspace, and airlines are suspending flights.
