MINSK, 22 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways keeps renewing its rolling stock. A new diesel train will start running along the Grodno-Minsk -Grodno line on 24 July, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusian Railways.
The six-carriage diesel train was manufactured by Poland's PESA Bydgoszcz SA. It was delivered to Belarusian Railways in 2020.
The new train has 311 seats, including 25 first-class seats. The train can operate at top speeds of 140 km/h.
The train boasts enhanced safety and improved comfort. It also has modern features like air conditioning, audio and video systems, comfortable and adjustable seating, sockets to charge gadgets, infotainment and Wi-Fi. The train is accessible for people with disabilities, passengers with prams, bicycles and big luggage.
