Belarusian-Lithuanian border checkpoint Losha-Sumskas to grow larger

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) – Construction trailers will be deployed at the Belarusian-Lithuanian simplified border checkpoint Losha-Sumskas, BelTA learned from the website of the State Border Committee of Belarus.

Two construction trailers will be deployed soon for processing border documents and customs ones. More construction trailers will be moved to the site to provide accommodation for border service and customs service personnel. Open-sided sheds will be erected as well.

The Belarusian-Lithuanian simplified border checkpoint Losha-Sumskas was opened in Ostrovets District, Grodno Oblast on 17 February 2017. It is an international border checkpoint where citizens of all countries can cross the border except for people on foot. The new checkpoint is used to handle only cars and minibuses. The measure has allowed reducing somewhat the workload of the international automobile border checkpoints Kamenny Log and Kotlovka.
