“We look with sorrow at what is happening today in neighboring countries and are ready to provide maximum aid and assistance to ensure that peace between the two fraternal Slavic states arrives as quickly as possible. Enormous work is being done to achieve that: logistics chains are being built to organize and ensure safe conditions for the exchanges. As it carries out the president’s instructions, Gomel Oblast remains ready to provide every possible assistance and support with accomplishing humanitarian tasks,” said Andrei Baranovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.

The TV channel also emphasized that another exchange will take place at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the near future. Since the beginning of the conflict Belarus has been acting as a humanitarian corridor and a venue for complex negotiations, exchanges of POWs and bodies of the fallen.
