Belarus holds Culture Days in Russia’s Samara Oblast
MINSK, April 7 (BelTA) – The Days of Belarusian Culture kicked off in Russia’s Samara Oblast on 7 April and will be running through 9 April, BelTA learned from the Culture Ministry of Belarus.
The extensive program features the best of Belarusian music, cinema, and decorative and applied arts to Russian audiences. The Belarusian delegation is headed by Deputy Culture Minister Sergei Sarakach.
Leading creative companies and performers from Belarus will take part in the festive gala concert at the Samara State Philharmonic Hall: Tsitovich National Academic Folk Choir of Belarus, the dulcimer duet of Zhinovich National Academic Folk Orchestra and Belarusian soloists. According to the folk choir, audiences will see a wide range of performances, from authentic Belarusian folk songs to contemporary vocal and choreographic compositions.
The program includes Belarusian Cinema Days that will screen the films
Klassnaya (directed by Kirill Khaletsky) and also
Time to Return (directed by Ivan Pavlov),
On the Other Side (directed by Andrey Khrulyov) and
Waiting List (directed by Aleksandr Yefremov).

The exhibition of Belarusian folk costumes holds a special place in the program. It features unique authentic outfits from the second half of the 19th to early 20th centuries. Visitors can explore regional decorative features and the impact of the urban environment and neighboring cultures on Belarusian life.
The visit is aimed at strengthening interregional ties. Official negotiations on cultural cooperation are planned between the culture ministries of Belarus and Samara Oblast of Russia
