MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – About 400 vehicles are waiting to enter the European Union, the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The busiest route for trucks is via the Polish checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi on the Belarusian side), with 275 trucks queuing; 64 trucks are queuing to enter Poland via Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa). Over the past 24 hours, the Polish checkpoints handled 41% and 17% of the normal number of vehicles, respectively.
At the Lithuanian border, 40 trucks are waiting in front of the Salcininkai checkpoint (adjacent to Benyakoni), while 15 passenger cars are waiting at the Medininkai checkpoint (adjacent to Kamenny Log).
On the Latvian border, no truck queue has been recorded, and there is no backlog of passenger cars at crossings into either Latvia or Poland.
