Konstantin Molostov
GOMEL, 7 May (BelTA) – Amid global turbulence, social consolidation is essential to preserve and continue the development of a strong, independent, and sovereign Belarus, Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Konstantin Molostov said during the plenary session of the Second Youth Military-Patriotic Forum in Gomel, BelTA has learned.
The forum brought together more than 300 participants from all regions of the country. The theme of the plenary session is “Patriotic education of youth – the foundation of state independence”.
“As we approach the nationwide Great Victory Day, our meeting is filled with a special solemn meaning, reflecting the continuity of generations and limitless love for the Motherland. Such patriotic gatherings make it possible to unite the shared desires and efforts of young people to preserve historical memory, as well as to build upon all the best traditions laid down by our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. Building on their experience and achievements, we must direct our energy toward constructive work and the further building of a prosperous Belarus,” Konstantin Molostov urged the young people.
“The absolute majority of the forum participants are talented young people who are at the beginning of their life’s journey, yet already have an ideological backbone and are patriots of their homeland,” the chairman of the State Border Committee emphasized. “This commands sincere support and respect,” he stated.
“Border guard heroes of the Great Patriotic War serve as a moral compass for modern-day guardians of the state border. Furthermore, the people’s labor achievements made it possible to literally restore Belarusian cities and villages from the ashes, bringing the economy, education, science, sports, and culture to the forefront through diligent work,” the head of the State Border Committee recalled. “Despite all the difficulties and obstacles, we have achieved this under the leadership of our national leader, President Aleksandr Lukashenko. Now, you have been entrusted with a noble mission – to preserve Belarus for future generations as independent, sovereign, strong, safe, and just. Undoubtedly, this is a very challenging task. Amid global turbulence, its resolution requires the utmost consolidation of society – from the youngest to the oldest, regardless of status, education level, occupation, or religion. To achieve this, we have a unique genetic code and a sense of patriotism that gives us monolithic strength,” he summarized, wishing the forum participants fruitful work, an active exchange of opinions and experience.
The forum was initiated by the Council of the Republic. The first forum took place in Minsk in December 2025. The event brings together hundreds of young people, including members of military-patriotic clubs and organizations actively involved in fostering patriotism.
