Analyst: West stays committed to continuing Ukraine war

MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) - The West is operating on a logic of continuing the war, while U.S. President Donald Trump is simply fulfilling his own objectives, political analyst and publicist Dmitry Kulikov shared his thoughts in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.

"The West is proceeding with a war continuation logic, despite all of Trump’s maneuvers while solving his own task. His goal is to extricate the USA from direct confrontation with Russia. But this by no means signifies an end to the war against Russia,” he stated.

Dmitry Kulikov suggested that “the new Ukraine” could well turn out to be another European country. “Ukraine is barely holding on, so Europe will need to act quickly. Zelensky’s role is that, for now, he continues this war, and that suits everyone. But he made a mistake when he tried to shake off the noose placed around his neck by the previous U.S. leadership,” the expert emphasized.

According to Dmitry Kulikov, globalist circles in the West will not allow this, as Zelensky’s actions could become unpredictable. “If he faces the threat of being killed by the West, which is entirely plausible, anything can be expected. That’s why they didn’t let him loosen the noose. In fact, they tightened the collar even further,” he added.
