Ambassador: Mongolia hosts 5,000-7,000 visitors from Belarus every year

MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) - Mongolia hosts 5,000-7,000 visitors from Belarus annually, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belarus Batsukh Bayarsaikhan said in an interview with BelTA.

“These are quite good numbers,” the diplomat believes. “There is a visa-free regime between our countries, and I would like to see as many Belarusians as possible to visit Mongolia, where the landscapes are incredibly beautiful, and Mongolians to visit beautiful Belarus more often. You have very beautiful nature, many forests, lakes and rivers. Belarusians are sincere and hospitable, just like Mongolians”.

The Ambassador emphasized that Mongolia has declared the years 2023 to 2025 “Years to Visit Mongolia”. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 9 October 2024, it was decided to continue the Visit Mongolia initiative until 2028 in order to promote the country both in the international arena and to support its tourism sector.

“We will work to further expand interpersonal relations and mutual travel between Belarus and Mongolia,” Ambassador Batsukh Bayarsaikhan said.
