Lukashenko attends ceremony to open new polyclinic in Minsk

(Updated at 10:13 a.m.)

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko attended the ceremony to inaugurate the 42nd City Polyclinic in Minsk on 3 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of state is taking part in the official opening ceremony and will review the polyclinic’s facilities and equipment. He will also be briefed on the overall development of the national healthcare system. The new healthcare facility is located in the Vostochny microdistrict on Kursanta Gvishiani Street. It is designed to accommodate 850 visits per shift. Around 25,200 residents will receive care here, which will significantly improve access to medical services for adults and reduce the load on outpatient facilities in the Pervomaisky District. Until now, these facilities faced pressure due to the growing population of the district, which continues to expand as new housing is built. By 2028, the population is expected to increase by another 10,000 people.

The polyclinic will employ 46 doctors and about 100 mid-level medical staff.
