Lukashenko tells Putin a busy agenda leaves little room for rest
SAINT PETERSBURG, 21 December (BelTA) – At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the current schedule is so packed with events that there is little room for rest, BelTA has learned.
“Thank you for the invitation. It’s a tradition for us to visit St. Petersburg. To be frank, as I was preparing for this trip, this working visit, I thought: ‘Well, you have held your Direct Line Q&A session, I have held the Belarusian People’s Congress, so now as these major events are behind us, we might finally get an opportunity to unwind.’ But it seems nothing of the sort; current events don’t allow for much rest. Perhaps it’s a good thing, as it keeps us in good shape,” the Belarusian leader said.
A reminder, Aleksandr Lukashenko is on a working trip to Russia on 21-22 December to participate in the EAEU summit and an informal meeting of CIS heads of state.
