Lukashenko sends Happy Easter greetings to Metropolitan Veniamin

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has wished Happy Easter to Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

 

“The Resurrection of Christ is the greatest event in human history, which forever changed the world by declaring compassion, love, and mercy as fundamental values,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that the wise archpastoral words of Metropolitan Veniamin always remind us of the need for repentance and sincere prayer, care for one’s neighbor, and the importance of raising children in the spirit of traditional family values and genuine patriotism.

The president wished the Patriarchal Exarch good health, wellbeing, and success in all his good endeavors: “May the light of this great feast become a source of new spiritual strength for you in your continued service to Orthodoxy and our native Belarus.”
