Lukashenko, Putin discuss promising projects, defense, security, border situation over phone

 MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on 15 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The heads of state discussed the development of bilateral relations and reviewed new promising projects.
In particular, the presidents addressed the issue of constructing a new power unit at the Belarusian nuclear power plant in Ostrovets.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also talked over defense and security matters.

The leaders also specifically addressed the situation at the Union State border.

The presidents agreed to discuss issues and topics of mutual interest in more detail in the near future, primarily during the upcoming Collective Security Treaty Organization summit in Bishkek at the end of November.
