Lukashenko extends Radio, Television, Communications Workers Day greetings

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings as the country celebrates Radio, Television and Communications Workers Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The invention of radio 130 years ago gave a powerful impetus to technological and informational progress, launching a new stage in the development of humanity: one of global reach, accessibility and instant transmission of news,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state noted that mass media, as well as modern communications, continue to transform: “Another technological shift that requires intellectual and technical resources is underway. Thanks to a well-designed state strategy, Belarus has sufficient capacity to introduce innovations.”

The president emphasized that national TV channels and radio stations are constantly working to create high-quality domestic content and enjoy strong authority both in the country and abroad. “Editorial teams and journalists have repeatedly demonstrated civic courage in critical situations, defending their country, truth and justice. I am confident that you will continue to uphold the best traditions and always work for the benefit of Belarus and its people,” he added.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished workers and veterans of radio, television and communications good health, happiness, strong ratings and new professional achievements.
