Lukashenko congratulates Thongloun Sisoulith on re-election as president of Laos

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Thongloun Sisoulith on his re-election as president of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“I am confident that under your leadership, Laos will continue to make progress and expand its international ties, including with the Republic of Belarus. I am convinced that the friendly relations between our countries serve as a solid foundation for fruitful interstate cooperation in various areas,” the message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that he would welcome new meetings with Thongloun Sisoulith  to discuss priority issues on the Belarusian‑Laotian, regional and international agendas.

The president of Belarus wished the president of Laos good health and continued success in his responsible role, and wished the people of Laos peace and prosperity.
