Trump praises significant progress on Ukraine agreements

MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) - Many points on Ukraine have been agreed upon, with good chances for agreements on the remaining ones, U.S. President Donald Trump said during a press conference following his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS informs.
“There were many, many points we have agreed on, most of them. I would say, a couple of big ones that we haven’t quite got there, but we’ve made some headway,” the president said.
The U.S leader described great progress achieved during talks with his Russian counterpart, noting Vladimir Putin appears equally committed to ending the Ukraine conflict. Donald Trump expressed optimism about future productive engagements between the USA and Russia.
The U.S. president confirmed plans to brief Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and NATO allies about the discussions with Vladimir Putin.
