Peskov: Russian delegation will be waiting for Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul on 15  May

MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - Russia’s delegation will be in Istanbul on Thursday, 15 May, waiting for Ukrainian negotiators, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reports

Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia will announce the members of the delegation once the president gives the relevant instructions. 

The spokesman also emphasized that everything Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the night of 11 May about the talks in Istanbul remains valid.

A reminder, on the night of 11 May Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Russia and Ukraine resume direct negotiations without preconditions in Istanbul on 15 May. The Russian leader did not rule out that the parties could reach a ceasefire agreement during these talks. As Russian president spokesman Dmitry Peskov said later, Moscow is serious about searching for ways to a long-term peaceful settlement.
