MFA
MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich took part in the first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony for a postage stamp and envelope from the Oriental Calendar. Year of the Horse series, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The stamp and envelope launch ceremony was timed to coincide with the celebration of the Chinese New Year and took place at the Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University.
Sergei Lukashevich noted that the Institute has long become a symbol of the strong Belarusian-Chinese friendship, and that culture is one of the key values uniting the Belarusian and Chinese peoples.
Such initiatives help foster better mutual understanding and open new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.
In Chinese tradition, the Horse symbolizes progress, innovation, and forward movement – the qualities that vividly reflect the dynamics of cooperation between Belarus and China today.
