MOSCOW, 2 September (BelTA) – Russia will thwart all attempts to use international organizations to back provocations against Belarus, Russia Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov told journalists after the meeting with Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei in Moscow on 2 September, BelTA has learned.
“Those, who want to provoke unrest, breaches of the law by hook or by crook, understand perfectly well that this kind of a national dialogue will leave them on the margins of history. This is why they want to reduce everything to extremist provocations, to provoke law enforcement officers,” Sergei Lavrov said. “We will resist all such effort, especially attempts to use multilateral organizations, that have Russia and Belarus as members, to stage provocations,” he observed.
