Interparliamentary dialogue, intensified economic ties: Aleinik meets with Mongolian ambassador

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – On 6 April, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Aleinik met with outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belarus Batsukh Bayarsaikhan, BelTA has learned.
The parties exchanged views on the development of Belarus-Mongolia relations. They noted the strong momentum in bilateral cooperation over the past five years, including the successful implementation of a number of important initiatives to strengthen ties between Belarus and Mongolia.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the first-ever state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Mongolia in 2024, during which the legal framework of Belarus-Mongolia cooperation was significantly expanded.
Special attention was given to the further promotion of trade and economic cooperation and to agreements in this area. A major contributing factor is the temporary trade agreement signed between the EAEU member states and Mongolia in June 2025.
The parties also touched upon Belarus-Mongolia interparliamentary cooperation, including the work of friendship groups formed within the legislative bodies of both countries. According to both parties, bilateral interparliamentary dialogue helps create a favorable legal foundation for the intensification of Belarus-Mongolia relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sergei Aleinik thanked the Mongolian ambassador for his work and wished him success in his future service.
