Indian PM receives letter on bilateral relations from Belarusian president

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik held talks with Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi, and handed over a letter from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Belarusian-Indian relations and ways to develop them, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“In this regard, the ministers devoted the meeting to a substantive discussion of a large-scale package of bilateral, regional and global issues. The main topics for discussion were economic cooperation and cooperation projects. The parties agreed there was a need to intensify cooperation in this area, outlined specific steps and defined sectors for the application of major efforts in the near and medium term,” the ministry said.
