EU ambassadors hold emergency meeting following Russia-US summit

MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) - Ambassadors from all 27 EU member states convened for an emergency meeting in Brussels to discuss the outcomes of the Russia-US summit in Alaska, about which Trump had briefed European leaders, TASS reports.
“An emergency session of COREPER (the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU) began on Saturday morning to discuss next steps regarding Ukraine,” an agency source noted.
The EU's Committee of Permanent Representatives prepares draft decisions for all ministerial meetings of the European Council.
