Belarusian senator holds talks with ambassadors of Ghana, Tanzania

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Sergei Aleinik, held meetings with Ghana’s Ambassador to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah and with Tanzania’s Ambassador to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Fredrick Ibrahim Kibuta in Minsk on 10 April, BelTA has learned.
Discussions covered the core areas of cooperation between Belarus and Ghana and Tanzania, including the ways of deepening political dialogue and expanding trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties.
According to Sergei Aleinik, there is substantial potential for expanding economic cooperation and launching mutually beneficial projects, including the delivery of agricultural equipment to these African countries.
The meeting placed particular emphasis on bilateral interparliamentary cooperation, with steps identified to step it up, including within multilateral interparliamentary forums.
