Belarus, Venezuela discuss steps to step up cooperation

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Venezuela have discussed top-priority steps meant to invigorate cooperation, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

On 19 November Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Andrei Molchan met with Ricardo Menendez, Venezuela Vice President for Planning, co-chairman of the Venezuelan part of the Belarusian-Venezuelan commission on trade and economic cooperation. The meeting was organized upon the initiative of the Venezuelan side.

Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe Ivan Gil was also present during the talks. The sides discussed a broad range of matters on the bilateral agenda and sketched out top-priority steps designed to invigorate Belarus-Venezuela cooperation.
