Belarus strengthens ties with African Union

MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative of Belarus to the African Union Dmitry Krasovsky presented his credentials to Chairperson of the African Union Commission Mahmoud Ali Youssouf at the organization’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 24 February, the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry told BelTA.

Ambassador Dmitry Krasovsky reaffirmed Belarus’ commitment to the consistent development of relations with African states based on mutual respect and trust, as well as to building mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

The parties agreed to continue working with the relevant departments of the Commission in order to structure their interaction, develop a plan and outline priorities for further cooperation.
