Belarus President Administration, International Department of CPC Central Committee sign cooperation memorandum
MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – The Belarus President Administration and the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China have signed a memorandum on stepping up cooperation. The document was signed in Beijing as a result of talks between Dmitry Krutoi, Head of the Belarus President Administration, and Liu Haixing, Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, representatives of the Belarus President Administration told BelTA.
The negotiations took place as part of Dmitry Krutoi’s official visit to the People’s Republic of China. The parties exchanged impressions of events of the visit, which has been organized upon the invitation and with the active assistance of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Dmitry Krutoi and Liu Haixing continued an in-depth discussion about the topics raised by the sides during the talks the day before with Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
Special attention was paid to areas of interaction where the Belarus President Administration and the International Department can secure the greatest effect for cooperation between the two countries: efforts to enhance personnel potential, improve the political system, and strengthen information security.
The talks revealed a unity of views between the sides about the availability of significant reserves for stepping up Belarusian-Chinese relations. The reserves can be tapped into through cooperation of the regions and the city of Minsk with the regions of China while relying on CPC structures.
Using specific examples, Dmitry Krutoi and Liu Haishing discussed the involvement of leading Chinese companies in the implementation of projects in Belarus with a view to further strengthening the economic foundation of the exemplary political relations built by the leaders of the two countries.
A committed dialogue was held about a wide range of current matters on the international agenda and an agreement was reached to exchange experience in expanding business ties and implementing economic projects in various regions of the world.
As a result of the meeting a memorandum was signed on stepping up cooperation between the Belarus President Administration and the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, which is meant to advance interaction to a new level.
While in the Chinese capital, the head of the Belarus President Administration also familiarized himself with the work and discussed prospects of industrial cooperation between Belarus and leading Chinese companies that possess unique competencies in such areas as robotics, unmanned aviation, and petrochemistry.
A visit was also made to one of the youngest districts of the city – the Subcenter of Beijing – where Dmitry Krutoi was shown the most current examples of the organization of museum exhibitions and library services, which could be applied in Belarus.
