Belarus, Myanmar sign visa waiver agreement

NAYPYIDAW, 28 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Myanmar have signed a mutual visa waiver agreement, BelTA has learned.
 
The document was signed following the negotiations between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Min Aung Hlaing.
 
The agreement was signed by Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Than Swe.
 
Overall, a package of documents was signed following the highest-level talks. In particular, a roadmap for the development of cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar for 2026-2028 was approved.

Among other documents signed following the talks are intergovernmental agreements on the provision of export credits, on cooperation in science and technology, and on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters.

In total, approximately 30 documents were signed by Minsk and Naypyidaw following the highest-level talks and the Belarus-Myanmar business forum.
