Belarus, Iran discuss steps to intensify cooperation in sport

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran Dmitry Koltsov met with Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth Ahmad Donyamali on 6 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on current issues of the bilateral agenda.

The parties discussed priority steps to implement joint projects in the field of sport, including the organization of friendly matches, joint sports training camps and the Belarusian initiative SCO Open Cup.

Both parties spoke against the politicization of the international sports movement.
