Belarus, Brazil deepen bilateral, multilateral cooperation

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Brazil Andrei Andreyev met with Brazil’s Secretary for Europe and North America Roberto Abdalla on 11 March, the Belarusian Embassy in Brazil told BelTA.

The meeting took place at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Belarusian diplomat briefed the Brazilian side on Belarus’ position regarding a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda.

The discussion focused on current matters of political cooperation, with particular emphasis on practical steps to further deepen interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

To strengthen the legal framework of bilateral cooperation, the parties discussed priority areas for the preparation of interstate agreements.

Special attention was also given to multilateral issues, including cooperation within UN organizations and BRICS.
