Belarus backs China's Global Initiative on Data Security

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus supports China's Global Initiative on Data Security, which is in tune with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko's initiative on creating a digital good neighborhood belt. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei made the relevant statement as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming on 17 September, BelTA has learned.

The sides discussed China's Global Initiative on Data Security.

Apart from that, the sides discussed the schedule of top and high-level contacts, the advancement of trade and economic cooperation, interaction between the countries on international platforms.

Joint efforts to counteract the spread of COVID-19 were also discussed.
