Ambassador thanks Minsk for principled stance on Serbia’s territorial integrity

MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – During the meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 4 May, Serbian Ambassador to Belarus Ilina Vukajlović thanked Minsk for its principled position on issues of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, BelTA has learned.

“First of all, I would like to thank Belarus for its principled position regarding Serbia’s territorial sovereignty, as well as for its continued support,” Ambassador Ilina Vukajlović said. “Serbia also upholds its principled and responsible position that dialogue is the only possible way to resolve this most important and sensitive national issue. Support and understanding in this regard mean a great deal to us.”
The ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for agreeing to take part in the international specialized exhibition Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade. According to Ambassador Ilina Vukajlović, around 140 countries and international organizations have already confirmed their participation.

“Those who work in Belarus can see how talented and hardworking the people here are. That is why we will be glad to see the Republic of Belarus’ pavilion at Expo 2027. We are confident it will be among the most visited,” the ambassador added.
