Cities of the world: Cholpon-Ata
Cholpon-Ata is a city in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Region. Situated at an elevation of 1,500–1,630 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Küngöy Ala-Too mountain range, the city is renowned for its sandy beaches and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Issyk-Kul.
