Turkish golfer Sapmaz to compete at Ladies European Tour

LONDON, 29 April (BelTA - Anadolu) - Turkish national golfer Deniz Sapmaz will represent Türkiye at the Jabra Ladies Open in France from May 28 to 30, 2026, part of the Ladies European Tour calendar.

Sapmaz will become the first Turkish woman to compete internationally in a Ladies European Tour event.

The tournament brings together top-ranked professional players from around the world, with Sapmaz’s participation marking a milestone for both her career and the development of Turkish golf.

Her appearance is also expected to inspire younger athletes in Türkiye, highlighting the potential for national players to compete on the international stage.

“This invitation is a great source of motivation for me,” Sapmaz said ahead of the tournament. “I want to establish myself on the international stage and take my performance to the highest level. Representing Türkiye in the best way possible is my biggest goal, both as a national athlete and as a player of Atasehir Golf Club.”
