ISTANBUL, 11 March (BelTA - Anadolu Agensy). - The seventh edition of Istanbul Publishing Fellowship, which gathers professionals from around the world in Istanbul every year, concluded on Thursday after a two-day program.
Organized by the Turkish Printing and Publishing Professional Association with the support of the Culture and Tourism Ministry and Anadolu Agency as a global communication partner, the Istanbul Publishing Fellowship brought together the leading publishers worldwide and international publishing houses in Istanbul.
The program hosted nearly 3,000 physical and online meetings this year.
A total of 555 publishers from 72 countries participated in the program this year.
Among the top three publishers in the awards, a check was given to the first one, worth 100,000 Turkish liras (nearly $6,700), the second 60,000 (over $4,000), and the third 40,000 (over $2,600).
Organized for the first time last year by the Governorship of Istanbul, the Istanbul Copyright Awards -- which Anadolu Agency is a Global Communication Partner -- were presented to boost cultural cooperation and the sector's improvement.
